Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by our host, Paula, and taken into her delightful Place of Pause. It was a positive Eden, warm and cosy on a brisk day, and in a perfect setting. I stayed in the basement room with a “new friend.” It was spacious and well equipped, with very comfortable beds, made up with high quality linens. Paula’s food was both delicious and plentiful. My big appetite was more than satisfied. I thoroughly enjoyed having the opportunity to meet some new, strong and extremely brave women. I would definitely go back.
What a beautiful space for women to come together and feel supported, no matter what our journey is! This experience was nourishing for mind, body and soul. Our hosts were very welcoming and the food was just what my body needed. Thank you so much. I will do this again!
My introduction to Ayurveda was wonderful. I came away from the retreat so excited to make changes in my eating and daily habits. Lynda is a great facilitator: taking time for all our questions and giving us lots of helpful handouts. The yoga, meditation and self care left me feeling so relaxed. Paula! What a fantastic cook. I appreciate the recipes so much. Paula’s home makes for a relaxing retreat setting and created the perfect place to get to know other retreat goers whom were also excited about Ayurveda. I look forward to the next retreat and would highly recommend.
Paula has created the perfect space for retreats to nourish the mind and body. The Place of Pause has an unexplainable vibe that transforms your energy as soon as you walk in the door. It was wonderful to spend a few days connecting, forming friendships, practicing yoga, hiking, resting, and enjoying Paula’s natural wisdom and laughter and learning about the Ayurvedic Lifestyle with Lynda. She shared a wealth of information on this lifestyle while Paula accompanied our learning with delicious Ayurvedic cuisine both of which were beyond my expectations.
